Because I find stuff on the internet.
And because I'm bored.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
This sequence wrecks me. Every. Damn. Time.
BRB crying forever.
(Also: the fact that this song lost the Oscar for Best Song to Phil Fucking Collins is a travesty. A TRAVESTY.)
Franklin’s favorite place to chill is on my favorite blanket and my favorite pillow, which feels appropriate because they were each given to me by my two best friends. So the blanket and pillow will inevitably be destroyed, but it will be with kitty love.
You know what’s great about being an adult?
I can watch Pixar movies while getting drunk, which makes the inevitable cathartic cry that much more drawn out and satisfying.
Replacements Limited, of North Carolina, lost customers and got a lot of hate mail when it and its founder urged voters to reject a gay marriage ban.
This is a really great article about a fantastic company and a truly courageous man. I know people who work for this company. I used to drive by it every day for two years. My mom couldn’t wait to visit it when she and my dad were here last week.
They may have lost customers in NC, but based on the comments, it looks like they’ve gained a whole bunch around the country.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
That was pretty much my internal monologue.
GPOY:

There are exactly three countries on Earth that do not provide guarantees for paid maternity leave. Papua New Guinea and Swaziland are two of them. Care to guess the third?
Why, exactly, are there still any women living in the US? We’re obviously not wanted.
I have a step-cousin. Well, I have several, but I’m focusing on this one. Let’s call her Step-Cousin Uno. I haven’t seen her in over 10 years, probably over 15. She has issues. I’m not friends with her on Facebook, but I’m friends with her sister (who is also my step-cousin - call her Dos), and sometimes I stalk check up on Step-Cousin Uno via her sister, S-C Dos. Anyway, Uno is apparently pregnant with her third kid (she is several years younger than I am), and the most recent thing that I can see on her timeline is that she liked a page called “Unassisted Birth/Freebirth.” I knew what it was even before I went to look at it, but holy mother of Raptor Jesus these women are insane.
“Cord around the neck - whatever shall they do?! lol” reads the caption to one pic. And all these women are like, “Yep, happened to me, no big deal!” And then one poor woman whose kid’s baby teeth are decayed due to the cord being wrapped around his neck is getting all kinds of shit from these other mothers because she’s actually listening to her dentist instead of their “expert” medical advice.
It’s not that I’m against home birth. I was born at home, with three midwives present. But this…this is different. I’m not saying that the field of obstetrics is perfect, and I understand that there’s a legitimate debate about hospital birthing practices. I just don’t understand and am more than slightly terrified by this mentality of “I know more than a doctor because Google!” These are the women who won’t vaccinate their children and will end up bringing back measles and smallpox and who the hell knows what else. But they’re natural, so they’re better than you.
People scare me.
Anderson’s expression here is perfect.
I’m glad somebody got a screencap of this moment. It was my favorite.
For the last fucking time: “tenant” and “tenet” are not the same word. They are not interchangeable.
Not for the last fucking time: will somebody please hire me as a copy editor?
